Oliver Riquelme

Vice President for Government Affairs and Research Services

Oliver Riquelme joins TBA from the Office of U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, where he spent 4 years advising the Senator on financial services, banking, taxes, trade, housing and more. In this role, he has authored legislation that has been adopted by the Biden Administration’s “Build Back Better” economic recovery plan, worked with Leadership and committee staff on a variety of legislative and political issues, and secured funding for numerous local, state, and federal programs. Oliver served as point person for the Senators push against the cap on the State and Local Tax (SALT) deduction, reversing unreasonable tax withholding policy, and prioritizing consumer protections.

Prior to joining TBA, Oliver enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps after High School. During his time at the University of Pennsylvania, Oliver held a clinical externship at the esteemed Child Study Center at NYU Langone Medical Center. Shortly after, Oliver worked as a researcher at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia’s Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics department, where he facilitated free psychological services to impoverished children and their families. Oliver started his career in Congress as a Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI) legislative intern in the office of former Congressman Mike Capuano (D- MA). Oliver is a graduate of Florida Atlantic University.
