Steven Fier
Steven Fier, Vice President, Legislative Affairs has over 20 years of legislative affairs experience in Washington and has successfully led numerous efforts to achieve desired legislative, regulatory and political strategic outcomes. Prior to joining TBA, Mr. Fier served as Director of Federal Government Relations at the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) where his efforts were primarily focused on the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 and reauthorization of the nation's surface transportation act.
During his tenure as ASCE, he also participated in the development of the Society's Principles for Infrastructure Stimulus Investment, and lobbied in support of the over $70 billion for infrastructure investment secured in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. He also participated in the development of ASCE's 2009 Report Card for America's Infrastructure and researched and drafted the Roads and Bridges Fact Sheets for ASCE's 2009 Report Card for America's Infrastructure.
Mr. Fier brings over two decades of government relations experience having served in executive government affairs positions with the National Association of Realtors, the Consumer Data Industry Association and the Equipment Leasing and Finance Association. He has also served as a Legislative Aide for the San Diego County Board of Supervisors and is a member of the California and Washington, DC Bar associations.
