A Senior Advisor at Tonio Burgos and Associates, Inc. (TB&A), Matthew N. Greller, Esq. is a seasoned professional in government relations, public safety and legislative drafting. With a strong public advocacy background, Matt contributes to TB&A’s success with his critical analysis, strategic communications experience, and extensive knowledge in legislative affairs at the local, state, and national levels.

Matt joined TB&A from Blank Rome LLP, where he worked on federal, state, and local initiatives for the law firm’s Government Relations team. His accomplishments included advocacy for issues such as homeland security, health care, energy, and transportation. During his tenure, he successfully achieved legislative, procurement, and regulatory goals for several clients in New York, New Jersey, and in Washington, DC.

Prior to joining Blank Rome, Matt worked for a public policy and public relations firm, where he collaborated with foreign and domestic police departments crafting public safety policy. Additionally, he provided public safety advice to several state and local candidates.

In Washington, DC, Matt served as a Legal Fellow at the Democratic National Committee, and to former Senator Torricelli at the Senate Judiciary Committee. Previously, he was a congressional staff person for Congressman Bill Pascrell, and for Vic Fazio, then Chairman of the House Democratic Caucus. Additionally, Matt worked on several Congressional and local campaigns. While working on Capitol Hill, he also attended the Washington College of Law at American University.

Prior to graduation from the Washington College of Law, he served as the Senior Editor for the International Law Review, where his law review article regarding American-Cuban relations and baseball diplomacy was published. Additionally, Matt wrote several opinion pieces and letters to the editor regarding public policy issues which appeared in the Daily News, Newsday, and The New York Times.

Matt also attended American University’s Campaign Management Institute, and earned an undergraduate degree in American History from Haverford College.
